APOCALYPSE
Seeing the blue water sink holes called Cenotes a few months ago in Bacalar, México inspired me to make this asteroid themed illustration.
“65 million years ago the earth was hit by a huge asteroid that had the impact of ten thousand times the world’s nuclear arsenal.
In the years that followed the hit of the asteroid, the world changed beyond recognition, with the plume of ash blocking the sky and creating perpetual night-time for more than a year, plunging temperatures below freezing, and killing off about 75% of all life on earth – including almost all dinosaurs.”
This hit also formed the Cenotes in the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico which are one of the most extraordinary things that I have ever seen.
